It's easy to take advantage of the services offered by Texas Plains Federal Credit Union!
There are several ways to qualify for membership:

People who live, work, worship, or volunteer in a large area of Amarillo, Dickens County, Floyd County, Crosby County, Swisher County, Garza County, and Lynn County are eligible for membership.

People who live, work, worship, or volunteer in Terry County, Texas, except for census tract 48445950400 in Terry County.

Voting members of The 100 Club of the Texas Panhandle in Amarillo, Texas, who qualify for membership in accordance with its charter and bylaws in effect on March 1, 2005.

Immediate families and households of current members can also join the credit union.

Employees of select Telephone and Electrical Cooperatives throughout Texas, New Mexico and Arizona are eligible for membership.

To become a member, you simply open a "Share" Savings Account. This account requires a minimum deposit of $25; and once you open it you are a member for life, unless the account is closed.
Once you join Texas Plains Federal, you become a shareholder – which entitles you to full voting privileges and the right to benefit from our financial services. As a member, you can vote for our board of directors – who are elected by the members at our annual meeting. Plus, you can take advantage of the multitude of services that we offer.
Documents needed to open an account:

Valid Driver’s License or Texas State ID

If your driver's license or state ID does not have your current physical address, you must provide one of the following for proof of residence: A) a recent utility bill in your name (e.g., water, gas, electrical), B) lease agreement with your name for your current physical address, or C) a mortgage statement with your name showing your current physical address.
